TFT Screens - Why Upgrade Your Old CRT Monitor to a TFT LCD?

The CRT monitors in your machines have been working pretty hard over the years! So why would you chose to change them....?
CRTs are large and heavy and give out a lot of heat that can not only make the CRT electronics have a low life-span but also cause other electronic parts inside the cabinet to be less reliable. It is little like having a heater on inside the equipment, drying out components and causing dry joints.
CRT monitors also have burn-in problems where static images presented onto the screen burn a background image into the screen over time. They additionally use high voltage (upto 25,000 volts). This high voltage and the way CRTs degauss when they are first turned on creates static that draws in dust and dirt. Again this dust builds up, generating yet more heat, as it acts like a blanket,  reducing the the life of electronic component parts.
The new generation of LCD displays, in contrast, draw less current and give off very little heat. They have a brighter, sharper picture and provide a far superior viewing angle as the screen is flat and not curved like a CRT. The picture on an LCD does not fade over time like a CRT, and there is the added benefit of the fact that LCDs use low voltage, typically 12 or 24 volts. The TFT panel provides a truer, more saturated colour and far less image disortion that the older CRT products.
Eurocoin have a range of TFTs that can be readily retrofitted into your current machine, or designed in to your new machine builds, with or without touch screens. TFTs typically occupy only 90% of the space of a CRT, meaning that your machines can be lighter, slimmer, energy efficient and far more economical.
